Lord, defeat the attempts of evil.

David emailed me this request.

During the last few weeks thousands of voodoo dolls of Nicolas Sarkozy complete with instructions on how to cast spells and inflict harm with needles have been sold. Read more about what is happening here.

While the actual practice of voodoo has almost nothing to do with the dolls, it is a religion that emphasizes possession by spirits.

Encouraging the French – and the large Haitian population of France – to engage in voodoo practices or explore how this spiritism can be used to influence politics is a dangerous and real threat.

This is why we are asking for prayer on two fronts:

1. Pray for the plans of the enemy to fail – that the French court would rule against the makers of the dolls and force a recall.

2. Pray that the dolls already sold would not lead to greater darkness – that the Light of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit would invade every home and every place that the dolls reside.

Let a voice grow in France that will glorify You

Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. Lord, I pray for the nation of France. I pray that out of this nation will come a mighty voice that will announce to the world , “The LORD reigns” Lord, I thank you for the voice that is in France. Make it stronger and louder. Make it a voice of the multitudes. Lord, I pray that France will soon be a nation that glorifies You.


Lord, I pray for the leaders of France. I pray that the president of France will glorify you as GOD. I pray that he will come to know you as his Lord and Savior. Let President, Nicolas Sarkozy, be surrounded by godly men, who will speak Truth to him. I pray that you will bring into his life someone who knows you and will tell President Sarkozy about your redeeming love. Give him the wisdom to rule this country through these times of economic difficulties.

Let your mercy endure forever.

Your light will shine before men
The world may see your good works
The Father will be glorified.

Dear Father,
I pray as our Christian brothers and sisters in France go about their day, they will be the Light of Christ. Jesus, your light can only shine through us if we plug into you. Lord, I pray that each believer will take time each day to be with you. Let their light shine like the tower in Paris. Lord, whenever we see this picture we instantly know where and what it is, so Lord, I pray that the light that shines from a Christian in France will instantly be known as Your Light. Lord, give them opportunities to do good so others can see the Light. Most of all Lord, I pray that they will glorify you with each word spoken and each deed done, I pray this in the name of Jesus.

Paris-Tours

Today God gave me the privilege of watching part of the Paris-Tour cycling race. I love to watch races through France. It is a way for me to pray and enjoy the country. I pray as the cyclist ride through the villages and towns, many times they ride past a cathedral or church and my heart cries out to God. I pray that his word will be spoken from those buildings out into the hearts of the people. I pray that God's spirit will be poured out through these villages and cities today. I pray for the believers and for the lost. I pray that God will prepare hearts in these villages to be ready to hear His word. I enjoy the race as I pray.

My son thought I was a bit crazy today. It looked like Philippe Gilbert would wait to late to make his move. Let us not wait to much longer to tell others about Christ. We too are racing and I pray we will stay faithful to the end.


Pray for this area of France this week. Use the map and pray with me for each village. God has a plan and purpose for France and I know that He desires for them to know and glorify Him.
Pray for the salvation of souls in this area.
Pray for the believers in these cities.
Pray for the freedom to speak the Word.
Pray for hearts to be ready to receive the good News.

Lord,
Thank you for my brothers and sisters in France. Thank you for saving them and keeping them. Lord, I pray that as they go about their day let them speak of you freely. Help them to share the joy that they have. Lord, as they go let the fruit of the spirit be seen in them. Lord, the most importantly let them be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of their minds. Lord, I pray that they will present their bodies a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto you, God each and every day. Jesus, I pray this in your name. Lord, let their light shine.
