Stage 9 Vielha Val d'Aran / Andorre Arcalis

We leave France today to ride in to Spain and ending in Andorra.  Monday is a rest day and the riders will take their rest day here in Andorra.  Today is the Queen Stage for the Pyrenees.  A Queen stage is designed to set apart riders and create a day that will bring time gaps between the GC riders.  I think yesterday was an appetizer for the Queen Stage.  It will be interesting to see how much gas Froome left in his tank for today.  If yesterday took him into the red then it will be a good day for the other GC riders to make their move. Enjoy the race.

Father, today we ride down into Spain and end the day in the small country of Andorra.  We pray for both of these country.  They both have a strong Roman Catholic influence.  Lord, we pray that the Word of God and the Work of God will have the freedom it needs to create a revival in the hearts and minds of the people in Spain and in Andorra.  Lord.  allow the Holy Spirit to have freedom to move in and through Hearts.  We pray that the people of Spain and Andorra will share the love of Christ with neighboring France and people all over the Pyrenees mountain will have a revival in the land and many will come to know You as Lord and Savior.   Lord, save souls in this area of the World so that the people who live in these mountain will shine for you as a beacon of light to a very dark area of Europe.  We pray in the name of Jesus Amen.

Team Movistar

Team Movistar was here last year they just rode under different colors. They wore red for team Caisse d'Epargne.  Movistar is a Spanish team and they have been enjoying the tour.  They have been having a good showing.  As we pray for Team Movistar  pray for the country of Spain as well.  Ask God to open hearts and lives to the gospel.

Holy Father, we come before you with the nation of Spain on our hearts. Thank you for your church in Spain. We pray that they will be unified in you as they serve you. We also pray for Team Movistar. Thank you for the hard work they have been willing to do to have a great tour this year. Lord, I pray we will work just as hard to reach others with the gospel of Christ not only here in France but in the neighboring nations as well. We pray this in the name of Jesus, our Lord. Amen.

Gerone- Barcelone Spain

Today we spend the day in Spain, in the historical part of Catalonia. It is fun to come to cities in Europe that have their history full of many different people groups. Here you will find influences from France, Spain, Catalonia, Arabian, Romans, and Christians.

Our Father,

Thank you for creating us with many different characteristic. Thank you for the beauty of architecture and music and food that enrich our lives. You have created beauty all around us. The beauty of France and now Spain shows us that you are a wonderful creator. Thank you for all the people who live in this region of the world. You have given them a beautiful country to live.

Father, I pray that as people wake up each day they will look around them and see you. They will see the beauty of this earth, and your love. Thank you for the many missionaries in Spain. Give them the strength to remain faithful and to not grow tried with the job at hand. Help them to build relationships with those around them. Give them the ability to learn a new language and culture. Help them to be loved by the people in this area. Lord, bring many people to you from this part of the world. Let your Holy Spirit work in lives today like the wind that is blowing. Today it will rain, help them to see the rain as a blessing from you. Protect us on this day. Thank you for your love for us. I pray in the name of Jesus the Word. Amen
