Sunday Prayers

Colossians 3:23-24
Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.

Many times in ministry our work goes unnoticed by people around us and it is easy to give up because no one says thank you.  I pray that you will remain faithful to the ministry God has given you for you know that whatever it is you are doing it is for God and not for yourself or for others.  Your thank you will come from God.

Father, thank you for the promise that our reward is from You.  Many times it is easy to look at the work You have asked us to do and give up because no one around us appreciates the daily sacrifice it takes to complete the task.  Or we give up because as an individual we feel no satisfaction from being obedient to the calling.  Father,as people we become discouraged when there is no instant gratification.  Help us in this weakness.  Give us the grace to wait for Your reward. Lord, help us to always remember it is You whom we serve and not ourselves or others.  We pray in the name of Jesus, our sacrificial lamb.  Amen.
