Creuse 23

Dear Father, today we pray Ephesians 3 : 14-21

14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

Correze

 Dear Father,
 We bow before the Cross, and pray for the people of Correze in the region of Limousin.  Father, we pray that the sons of Correnze will bow before you and honor you as King.  We pray that the men and boys will humble themselves .  Lord during this time of lent, we pray that the families of Correze will come before you with repentant hearts and seek to honor you with their thoughts, words, and deeds.  May each home honor you as they live for you. Lord we thank you for being our Lord and Savior.

EVAUX-LES-BAINS

 Today we will be in the foot hills, because we can't call these mountains when we know what is coming up next.  It will not be a sprinters finish and I believe that Thor might loose his yellow jersey to someone else.  Thor, you did a great job keeping it this long.  Hats off to you for that. 

I don't know why but, I feel like this is one place I would love to live.  The quiet rural rolling hills with villages nestled among them seems to me one of the perfect spots in this world.

Lord, yesterday we enjoyed the sunflower fields and today we will enjoy the rolling hills.  Lord, We pray that your teaching from the Bible will fall like rain and your words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.  Lord, let the teaching of your Word be received by the hearts of the people of this region like new grass receives the rain.  Open hearts and let people soak in Your word.
We pray in the blessed name of Jesus.  Amen

Corrèze 19 Department

Department 19 Corrèze is the last department in the region of Limousin. I pray that you have enjoyed the quiet country side.

Lord, I thank you for the country. Thank you for all the farmers who work so hard to bring us food, wine, clothing, and all the other things that come from their hard work. Thank you for those who choose to live in the peaceful country side over the busy cities. Lord, Please bring Believers to this area of France. Grow strong churches who will teach your Word for generation to come. Lord, grow strong Christian families here in department 19. I pray all these things in the name of Jesus Amen.

Haute Vienne Department 87

Limousin is not a region thousands of tourist flock to on holiday, but it is a quite place in a hurried world. Rich in history, one can see the scares of war, and the comfort of God. Haute Vienne is located west of Creuse and northwest of Correze. Here one can find the beautiful porcelain in Limoges.



Lord,
Just as we can look at a piece of porcelain and see that it was made by and artist in Limoges, France: we to can look at our bodies and see that you have created us. You have left on us your mark. I know that I did not happen by chance and that I am not here by accident. Just as the artist at the porcelain factory plans out a design, choosing colors and patterns, you have done the same for me. Lord thank you for creating me to be a unique piece or your craftsmanship.
Please Father let the people of Haute Vienne see that you are their creator and that you love them and have a plan for them. Let them look at themselves and see that your loving hand molded them. I pray that they will acknowledge you as creator and worship you. I pray in the name of Jesus my creator. Amen.

Wisdom in Limousin

Psalms 111:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Lord,
France as a nation has sought after knowledge, understanding, and wisdom, but I fear that they have missed the very thing they seek when they ignore You. Yes, Lord, when they fail to fear you they will never find wisdom and their understanding will not be there if they do not obey your commands.

Lord, the people here in Limousin must go back to the beginning and fear you first. They need to know your commandments and praise you so that they will begin to understand. I fear their efforts have been in vain. Bring them to the place in their hearts and minds so that they will be able to fear you and begin finding wisdom.

Forgive us when we fail to obey your commands and to fear you as God. Thank you for being a mighty God who provides wisdom to those who seek this from You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen

Creuse Department 23

Creuse is found in the northern part of Limousin and it is the least populated of the three. Know for its beauty and serenity, Creuse has drawn artist and writers to this place over the years. The abundance of clear water gives them the ability to make dyes to use in tapestries and they have been doing so for many years. In this quite spot of France away from the hurried life of the cities, France becomes real, still and peaceful.

Lord, when we see the simple life of Creuse we need to take the time to exam our lives. We become to hurried and add to many unnecessary things to our day that we loose sight of You. Keep life simple for us so that we have time to stop and spend time with you. Lord, I desire for my day to be filled with You. You guiding me, speaking to me, and I speaking to You. In the quietness of our day let us hear you move in and through us. Forgive us of sin in our hearts that keep You from filling every part of me. Lord, thank you for pointing out my sin of frustration today. I know that when I am frustrated I feel liking something is blocking my plan and what I want is not happening fast enough. I need to see my day as your plan and not mine. Keep my eyes on You, Lord.

Lord, Creuse needs you. Bless the Churches in this area. Bring them together so that they might share the gospel to all. Encourage them in the simple parts of their day. Move through them and use them for your honor and glory. Thank you for simple for it is good. I pray in the name of Jesus Amen.

Limousin

Leaving the island of Corsica we travel up in to the Massif Central plateau. The region of Limousin is found on the northwestern part of this mountainous plateau.The Massif Central covers almost a sixth of the surface of France and many of its main rivers receive tributaries from this area, and the Loire, Dordogne, and the Carente originate from here. In France they call this area 'water tower' or 'chateau d'eau'

This area is rich in pastures and farmlands. Here the famous Limousin beef cattle are raised. Limousin is also famous for it beautiful porcelains, enamels, delicate lace and tapestries.

With the name Chateau d'eau it reminded me of our Lord and Savior who gives us the true Living water and is our high tower. The message Christ had for the women at the well in Samaria is the same message he has for us and the nation of France. We all thirst for so many things and yet we reject the one who can quench of from our thirst.

John 4:13-14
Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Lord,
I am sorry that I reject the water you have to offer and spend my day looking for substitutes to take away my thirst and they never do. Lord, forgive me for look in other place for what I desire when all I need is what you freely give. Lord, here in the central part of France you have provided them with water, beauty, and pleasure. Thank you for your world that you have created. Lord, let us see our need for the water that will take away our thirst. Your life provides us with this help the people in Limousin see the water around them and think of their need for you. Let the Christians thank you for providing them living water. For this time to remember that we need you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
