Sunday Prayers

Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.
Romans 7:25

On this Sunday let us Praise God who provided deliverance through Jesus Christ our Lord!

Lord what do we need deliverance from?
What stands in our way to Freedom.
What binds us?
Where are we stuck?
Why does Victory seem so far away?

Lord teach us to pray for deliverance?
Reveal to us what binds us.  Instruct us in your ability to deliver us.  Allow Victory to be real in our lives and in the lives of France.

We pray in the name and power of Jesus AMEN

La Fête du Muguet, La Fête du Travail

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. I Corinthians 15:58

Lord, We pray for the Church in France to be stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that they labour not in vain.  Lord, I pray the same prayer for us here at Praying for France, that we will continue to be stedfast, and continue to pray for the people of France.  Renew our vision, and our passion for the work You are doing in France.  Increase our love for the people of France.  Expand our borders and give us the wisdom to move from a place of pray into becoming Your hands and feet working among the people of France.  We pray in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Sunday Prayers

Unity and diversity in the body

12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptised by[c] one Spirit so as to form one body – whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free – and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 And so the body is not made up of one part but of many.
I Corinthians 12:12-14. NIV UK

Lord, Use the body of Christ in France as one body with many members working together to do Your Will.  Lord we pray that the each person will accomplish the role and purpose your created them to accomplish, and yet be one part of the whole.  Thank you for creating the body to be local and universal.  Use us to spread the gospel in France.  Put actions to our prayers.  We pray in the power of the name of Christ, the cornerstone and our groom.  Amen.

Ile-de France

Yes, I know this year is not going as planned and I wonder why I am surprised.  To be honest not too many things go as I plan, but there is not much I can do about it, so as my husband says, "Just keep on going, "  So here on Praying for France we will just keep on praying, know that God's keeps on listening.

Over the next few weeks we will be praying for the region where Paris is located the Ile-de-France consisting of 8 departments and millions of souls.  We were in this region two years ago and there has been a great influx of people from around the world and decrease in locals.  To me it seemed like a different country then it was back in the late 80's.  Even though things change people are still in need of  a Savior.  So we keep on praying.

Father the world changes with new people, and new faces, but our hearts and souls, continue to need to know You as our personal Father, We continue to need Jesus your Son as our Lord and Savior, and we always need the power of Your Holy Spirit working and filling our lives.
Father thank you for what you are doing in the region of Ile-de-France.  Lord, continue to move in and through lives, changing hearts, cleansing souls, letting people be new creations in You. Continue to build by adding to the body of Christ daily.  Lord, let your love and power flood through the streets and lives of Paris, the surrounding neighborhoods and departments.  We pray all in the powerful name of Jesus.  Amen.

Calvados (14)

Ephesians 1: 7 We have redemption in Him through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.

Redemption =the action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil
Forgive = Absolve from payment.

The wages of Sin is death, and I sin so I deserve death, but Christ Died in my place and paid my debt.  He redeemed me.  In Christ I am redeemed and forgiven.  It is hard to see myself in that light, but that is how God sees me, because He sees me IN Christ.

Lord, When you died on the Cross you died for the people of Calvados as well.  Lord, we pray that they too will know about the work of the Cross and believe in You through Your Blood and be part of the body of Christ in Him redeemed and forgiven, according to the riches of His grace.  We praise You in the Name of Jesus.  We ask for the Salvation of France in the Name of Jesus.  Amen.

Eure ( 27)

My perspective and God's perspective.  Can we see ourselves as God sees us.

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Christ became sin, who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.  I have a hard time seeing myself as the righteousness of God.  Christ took on my sin so that in Him I might become the righteousness of God.

My perspective of myself is not in that light at all.  In me, I only see my weakness and sin.  I have fallen short and missed the mark , in Christ, God see me righteous because Christ took all my shame, guilt, sin, and became me so that I can be righteous.

Father, Christ has become sin for all the people who live in Eure, France.  Father help them to understand that they too can stand before You in the righteousness of Christ.  You love us enough to take our place in death, so that we might live for You seeing ourselves through Your eyes.  We praise you and thank You for Your grace and mercy and love.  Lord, we pray for one soul from Eure be saved today.  In the name of Jesus we pray Amen.

Seine Maritime (76)

The beauty of Seine Maritime can be found in many spots of this department from the beaches to the villages or along a river.

God is the creator of all.  Through Christ He makes us new creation.  In Him is our identity and beauty.  Because of what he did we are His new Creation.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

II Corinthians 5:17

Lord, we pray that the people of Seine Maritime, France will become new creations in Christ.   Lord hear our pray, for we desire for the people of France to know You.  Somehow Lord, but feet and voice to our prayers and let the people of Seine Maritime come to know you as creator of all things new.  We pray in the name of Jesus our Lord.  Amen.

Normandie

These next few days we will be praying through the Region of  Normandie and I would like us to pray through the scriptures that tell us who we are in Christ.  These same scriptures are true for every brother and sister in Christ in Normandie.  It is true for every one who will come to know Christ this year in Normandie.  The people of this region have ancestry from many nations, but the truth is in Christ we have our true identity.  Let us pray together asking that the people of Normandie will learn this year who they are in Christ.

Ephesians 2: 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

Dear Father,
Over the next few days we will be praying for the Region of Normandie. We also will be praying with scripture that teaches us who we are in You.  Lord, we pray that our brothers and sisters in Christ here in this region will be reminded of their standing with you.  Lord, we have life because of Your love, grace and mercy.  Renew our minds so that we will remember that out of your love for us you found us worthy to redeem us, and to give us life, which is eternal, abundant, and most of all with You.
Lord, You became flesh and moved into my life.  The Holy Spirit dwells in me, all because you choose to love me and all of the people of Normandie can be alive with Christ even though we were dead in transgression.  It is by grace You have saved us.  Today Lord, I am alive with Christ.  Let this fact ring out true in Normandie.
In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Oise 60

Psalm 36:7 (NIV)

How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!
People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.

Lord, Your love is priceless and you give it so freely.  We do not understand why you love us when we are unlovely.  Thank you for the refuge, protection, and security that your wings of love provide.  Lord we thank you for providing this for the people of Oise, France and we pray that they will take refuge in the shadow of your wings.  We pray in the name of Jesus our Lord.  Amen.

Sunday Prayers

I come to you for prayer.  This month was planed for Encourage Yourself in the Love of God, but I have found this topic very difficult.  Yes, I know that God loves us all and He died for us.  No problem.  Its globe and I fall under that blanket of love.  The part that has been difficult is knowing that His love is more than globe it is personal.  So as I look at the Love of God it shows me how under deserving I am to receive any of His perfect love.  So I have run and struggled with each verse.  I do I pray for others to receive and accept His love, when I myself feels shame, guilt, and an overwhelming feeling of unworthiness.  I know I don't merit the Love of God because of my sin and Satan has been reminding me this fact over and over again this month.

Thank you for your prayers for France.  Please continue even when I fail.

Somme (80)

The Scars still linger, from our past,  They linger in the earth and in our hearts.  The Crosses and stones mark lives lost, but lifted high above it all is a reminder of the Resurrection life we all await.

Life and Freedom cost dearly.  Praise the Lord, He loved us and provided both.

I Corinthians 15: 55-57
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pas-de-Calais (62)

Lord,
I know that you love the world and that includes the people in Pas-de-Calais.   I know that while we were yet sinners Jesus Christ, You died for us.  Lord, through your blood you have provided justification even through we desire a sentence of guilty. By your acts of Love on the Cross You saved us from the wrath of God that we were sure to receive, but yet you bore all of  His wrath upon your body as you paid our debt.
Lord, Thank you for loving us this much.  We bless you, Jesus our Savior.
Amen
