Étape 7 Tomblaine > La Planche des Belles Filles

Today we have started south of Nancy in the city of Tomblaine and turned south.  We will leave the fields of sunflowers behind us as they head for the top of La Planche des Belles Filles.  There will be no bunch finish today.  Today is a day for the mountain men.  It is hard to believe we have completed 7 days of cycling already.  Today some will make up time and some will give up time in the overall standings.  The yellow jersey may find a new home tonight.  Cancellara did a wonderful job keeping the jersey all week, maybe one more day, but most believe he will loose time on the last climb. 

Psalm 121:1-2 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.  My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

Lord. as we move south into the mountains, we pray that many will look to you for help.  Not just the team who are in the race, but the people of this region.  Lord, many people do not believe in you as creator, they have believed a lie.  We pray that many will come to understand that you created this world and each of us.  They are not here by accident, but because you desire to have a personal relationship with each one of us, for you have created us with a purpose.  Lord, please allow this truth to gain a foothold in people's hearts and minds and open hearts to hear your truth.  We pray in the name of Jesus, your Son.  Amen
