Team Sky

Team Sky dominated in this tour. Bradley in yellow, Chris in second, and Mark wining sprints.  Between the three of them they won 6 of the 20 stages.  Bradley is the first British cyclist to win the Tour de France.  Next comes the Olympics.  Best to Team Sky as they race for gold in London.

Lord, Thank you for a great time of prayer for France and for all who ride in the tour.  Be with Team Sky as they continue to ride, we pray they will all soon know you as Lord and Savior and will ride for your honor and glory.  Bring the gospel story into their lives so that they can choose to know you.  We pray all these things in the name of Jesus, our Savior.  Amen.

Team Orica-Greenedge

What fun it was to watch the Aussie Team as they pedaled their way into our hearts this year in the tour. Many of these cyclist will be wining stages to come as they ride.  Being a young team they will learn many lessons as they race.

Lord, we pray for Team Orica-Greenedge as they travel home.  Thank you for their contributions to the tour.  Lord, may they come to learn about you as they race.  We pray that they will learn of your grace and mercy.  Understand your love for them and the nation of Australia.  We pray all these things in the name of Jesus our Savior.  Amen.

Étape 20, Rambouillet to Paris

Today has come.  We have made it to Paris.  This tour has been fun to watch and I thank all of you for coming and praying.  Over the last 3 weeks there have been over 1,700 page views, so thank you for all who made it a wonderful tour of prayer.

Today, the need in Paris is as great as it has always been.  Please continue to pray for the needs of France and for her capital.  People all around us where ever we live need Christ.  We who know Him as our Lord and Savior understand what others are missing, so continue to pray and tell others about our great God.

Lord, thank you for a great three weeks of the tour.  Thank you for all who came to pray and I know that your hear our prayers.  Today we pray for the people of Paris and all who live in this great city.  Lord, we ask that the gospel message will freely sweep through this city by the power of the Holy Spirit, with Your written Word.  Give local Churches here in Paris and the surrounding areas the boldness and love to spread the gospel.  Thank you for each believer here, we pray for their strength and growth in You.  We pray all these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Congratulations to Wiggins and Team Sky

Bradley Wiggins won the time trial yesterday sealing his victory for this years tour.  Good job to Wiggins and all of his teammates.  Team Sky is a power house this year.  Best to all of you throughout the season.

Étape 19 Bonneval to Chartres

Today is a 58.5 km time trial.  The riders start in Bonneval in the Centre region and ride to Chartres in the same region.  Chartres is becoming known for its honey.  In Psalms 19  God's word is said to be sweeter then the honey and the honey cone.  Taste and see that the Lord is God.

Lord, as the riders ride in this time trial today we will pray for the people in the Centre region.  Lord, here they make honey and know the sweetness it contains, but Lord we ask that they will soon learn that you are the sweetness in our lives.  Your word is True and your love for us is shown in many ways.  Lord, become sweet to the people of Chartres and in all of the Centre region today.  We pray in the name of Jesus Amen.

A stage win for Sky

Mark Cavendish found his form and came across the line in first place in today's stage.  Congratulation to Team Sky and Mark on today's stage.

Team Saur-Sojasun

Team Saur-Sojasun is a French team here at the Tour.  Jerome Coppel is in 21 st place as we start today's stage.  They are still riding with 8 riders.  This is their 2nd year at the tour. Pray for this young team as they build and grow in their cycling abilities.
Father,  Team Sour-Sojasun is a young team with this being their 2nd year in the tour.  We pray for them as they learn from cycling and about life.  It takes a team to complete this race, so we pray that they will learn to move and work as a strong team.  Lord, in life we need others around us as well.  There is no way to go through life alone.  We need each other, but we need you in our lives as well.  Father, we pray that this team will come to know how important it is to have You in their lives each and every day.  We pray that you will become Lord and Savior and be the reason this team races on their bikes and in life.  We pray all these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Étape 18 Blagnac to Brive-La-Gaillarde

Paul and Alexis Dedeyan
Along our route today we will be passing through the city of Cahors in the department of Lot.Here there will be a sprint point in the race.  Just 30 minutes outside of Cahors is a Church Bible Camp started by Paul & Alexis Dedeyan and their church in Paris.  They are having camp this month and they presently have 53 campers.  They will be coming into Cahors and watching the tour today.  Paul said a few campers have been saved this month and he is praying for more before camp ends at the end of July.  Paul and Alexis have asked us to pray for the need of more workers in France for the Gospel and for more prayer.
Paul and Alexis have been working in France for over 30 years.  France is Paul's home and so the burden for France is great for both of them.  Please support them in your prayers.

Father,we thank you for the faithfulness of Paul and Alexis as they have served you in France.  Thank you for camp and the work and fun that has happened there this month.  We rejoice over the salvation of those who have asked you into their heart.  We pray with Paul for the need of more workers.  Lord, strengthen your church here in France with pastors, deacons, teachers, and faithful Christians willing and ready to serve where ever you need them.  Strengthen those who come to France to share your gospel message.  Prepare hearts to receive and ears that will listen to your Word as it is spoken and lived out in France.  We pray that we will continue to be faithful in our prayers for France.  In the name of Jesus we pray.  Amen.

Tour de France de la Bible

Bonsoir,

Eugene & Christiane

Étape 17 Bagnères-de-Luchon > Peyragudes

Psalm 143:6
I stretch forth my hands unto thee:
my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.

Lord, as on the tour we all need to stretch out our hands and receive water, for we are in need of the living water that you provide for our souls.  We pray that the people who live in these mountains and all those who are standing on the side of the mountain will not ignore the water you offer.  Help us all to see our need of you and the water that you offer.   We pray all these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Voeckler takes the Stage

The French are shining in this Tour.  One day soon they will wear the maillot jaune.  Voeckler not only wins the stage but also earns enough to earn the Polka-dot Jersey.  It would be a big win for Europcar to win the King of the mountain in Paris.  Congratulations to Thomas and Team Europcar.

Team Radioshack-Nissan

All three are gone.  The dreams of riding into Paris will not happen this year.  Cancellara did a wonderful job at the beginning and we must say congratulation for the birth of a new baby girl.  We wish you well and blessing on you and your family.  Andy we pray for healing and strength.  Frank we wish the best and we hope that all things will turn out for God's honor and glory in your life.
What will happen now?  The rest will ride on.  Kloden and  Zubeldia will ride for stage victories as will the rest of the team.  Thank you Chris for your tweets. Enjoying reading them.

Father, we pray for Team Radioshack - Nissan.  We pray that heart will turn toward you not only when dreams are shattered but in the good time as well.  Lord, thank you for your light that shines into our lives.  We pray that the team of Radioshack will see you working in their lives and accept you as Lord.  We pray all these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen

Étape 16 Pau > Bagnères-de-Luchon

Water and mountains the Pyrenees bring a beautiful stage for us today.  The personality of the Pyrenees is different than the Alps.  The riders approach these mountain on the third week when their bodies are stretched to their limits.  Tired and wiry they drag their bodies over these mountains to Paris.  Each rider must have a reason, a goal, a dream or maybe just a hope.  If you are like me the Tour seems to be won by Bradley, but with these last stages ahead there is no sure thing, only hopes and dreams.

Father, in your word you speak of being the living water and you called men of old up to the mountains to spend time with you, to seek you and speak with you.  Lord, today we still need to spend time on the mountain seeking your face.  Lord, we ask that on this day and in this place men and women will seek you.  We humbly bow before you seeking your love and grace to be pour out over these Pyrenees Mountains so that men and women will seek and find you.  You paid such a high price for our salvation, please do not give up now.  Send your Holy Spirit to each village on this route and let each house see that you are a God who loves them and has provided salvation as a free gift.  We pray all these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Team Lampre -ISD

Team Lampre-ISD is an Italian team.  You can keep up with them on Facebook.  In the past few years we have all enjoyed Petacchi charge the line and beat a few of the younger riders.  Four of their riders including Petacchi has withdrawn from the tour. They will continue to ride with the five that are left.

Lord, we pray for team Lampre as they ride in the tour.  Thank you for their efforts and we ask a blessing on their lives and on the lives of their families.  The nation of Italy has blessed us with rich history, but we ask that you will be glorified in the future story to come.  Be with your church in Italy and encourage them to live lives so that others will see your love.  We pray all these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Victory for FDJ Big Mat

The paloton let them go.  No chase to bring back the breakaway.  Congratulation to Team FDJ /Big Mat and Pierrick Fédrigo. FDJ Big Mat has enjoyed the victories this tour.

Rest Day in Pau

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

Lord, we pray for the people of Pau and the surrounding area.  We are grateful for the peace that you have given us and we ask that your peace be know in the hearts of the people of Pau.  Lord, as troubles come please show them your peace so that fear will not reign in their lives.  Jesus you are the only way to peace, so our hearts desire is for the people of France to know you as Lord and Savior.

Étape 15 Samatan to Pau

Today is a day for the sprinters to come out and shine.  We pray that it will be a safe ride for all.  Yesterday, a person in the crowds actions effected the race for many people.  Astana rider Robert Kiserlovski picked up one of the nails and crashed and broke his collar bone and is now out of the tour. Our actions effect other people and this was true yesterday.
Lord, we pray that this one action will remind us all that what we do and say can lift up others or tear them down.  Actions can cause pain or relief.  Help us all to live out your word and treat others the way you would.  Thank you for coming to earth and living as an example to us all.  Thank you for helping us to live as you desire.  Let our deeds and actions glorify you today.  We pray in the name of Jesus.  Amen

Honorable Bradley

Bradley showed himself worthy of the yellow jersey.  There is nothing in the rule books that says Bradley had to wait on Evans yesterday, but Bradley decided to play by the Golden Rule.  Do to others as you would have them do to you Luke 6:31.  It is good to see kindness done when others are unkind.  The Tour has a way of reveling a persons character.

Congratulation to Rabobank

With only four cyclist left in the tour for their team today is a sweat victory.  Luis Leon Sanchez of Spain won close to home, on a day were acts of unkindness made it difficult for the Tour.
