Dear Heavenly Father, 

We raise our hands in praise to you for your great and wonderful works you are doing in the 79th department of Deux Sèvres in the region of Poitou Charentes.  Lord, show us ways to join you in what you are doing in this area of France.  Open our hearts and eyes to the needs in Deux Sèvres.  We pray all these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Vienne 86

Here in Vienne in the city of  Potiers the Assemblee de Dieu de Poiters has a hand to hand ministry for those who are deaf.  Pray for this ministry to meet the needs of those who can not hear the gospel message.  Pray that through signing they will understand and believe Jesus is Lord and ask Him to be their Lord and Savior.

Father, thank you for Hand in Hand ministry here in Poiters, France in the department of Vienne. We pray that as they build relationship with those who are deaf, you will allow them the freedom to share the gospel message. Create a love for those who can not hear your name by sound, but by a simple sign. Lord, open the ears of their hearts so that they will believe Your Word.  We pray for each hand that signs your name and praise you for your glory.  Thank you for this ministry and we pray that many will come to know you.  In the name of Jesus  we pray.  Amen.

79 Deux Sèvres

Deux Sèvres is the 79 th department and it is named for the two rivers that run through this area.  let us pray that the people of Deux Sèvres will be as the psalmist says in Psalms 1:1-3

1 Blessed is the one

who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the LORD,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.

Lord, I pray many in Deux Sèvres will delight in your word and meditate on your law day and night.  We desire to see many be like the tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season.  Lord,we pray that many will delight in You and in your word and grow in your grace and mercy.  Please bring your saving grace to Deux Sèvres.  We pray all these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen

Lord, we pray for the Churches in La Rochelle who speak of You.  We pray that they will be able to boldly honor you in their congregations, in their neighborhood, and in their homes.   Lord, we ask that Your Word is rightly divided and Your truth changes lives forever.  Lord, thank you for their faithfulness.  We pray that they will continue for years to come being your light to a dark world.  Bless the pastors and their families as they serve you.  Provide for their needs and encourage them as they share your love.  We pray all these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

The City of La Rochelle in Charente-Maritime

Charente

Charente is found in the region of Poitou Charentes and it is named after the river Charentes. Angoulême is the capital of this rural department in which is known for its salt and cognac. One can enjoy a quiet life style in Charente. Many Brits have come across the channel and made this home.

Lord, we pray for the churches in Charente. We pray that as new people from other lands  come they will bring the light of Christ. Lord, bring Christians to this area so that your name will be spoken in the market place, in the streets, in homes, in schools, and in your house. Lord, let your kingdom come to Charente. We pray in the name of Jesus our King. Amen

Region of Poitou-Charentes

This year we will continue praying through each region.  I hope that I will be able to be more faithful and complete this task.  We will begin in Poitou-Charentes and move north along the Atlantic coast.  Poitou Charentes has some of the most mild climate in France due to the ocean currents and is known or their sunny days.  Let us pray the the Son will shine in Poitou-Charentes and lives will be changed.

Lord,
 We come before you with the region of Poitou Charentes on our minds and hearts.  Lord you are faithful to provide this region of France with an abundance of sunshine but we would like to request that your Son will shine in the hearts of those who live here.  You are the light of this world and we pray that your light will remove the darkness and change lives forever here in Poitou Charentes.  I pray in the name of Jesus, our light.  Amen

Send out your Word

2 Thessalonians 3:1-5

1 Finally, brothers,pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you, 2 and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. 4 And we have confidence in the Lord about you, that you are doing and will do the things that we command. 5 May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.

Lord, I pray this prayer for the region of Poitou Charentes.
Father, please make it possible for your word to be spread through out this region with out hindrance. I pray that the people in this region will hear God's word and it will not return void. May all who speak the word of God glorify him in all they say. Lord, if there is no one in this region who can speak your word I pray that you will bring them by the hundreds and I pray their voices will sound loud and clear.

Lord, protect all those who know you from evil and deliver us from evil men. Thank you Lord for your faithfulness to us and to this region of France. Lord direct our hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way.
