Stage 13 Muret / Rodez

On Friday the tour pedaled their way through the Midi Pyrenees region beginning in the 31st department of Haute-Garonne and ending in the 12th department Aveyron. Pray that the younger generations will question why so many do not believe in God the Father.  Let them ask the hard question about a creator, and a God who is in control and has a active role in their everyday life.  Pray that the Holy Spirit will be actively working and that we as the Body of Christ will be doing our part as well.  Lord, let us go and as we are going tell others the good news.

Father, we pray that the younger generations will be open to the gospel and as the summer continues and VBS and summer camps are held we pray that many of the children and teenagers will come to know Christ as their personal Savior.  Bring many opportunities for children to hear the gospel in this region of France and encourage the Church to continue to be faithful in going and sharing with the love of Christ.  We pray in the name of Jesus our Savior.  Amen.

Étape 10 Aurillac to Carmaux

Carmaux
The Tour will ride through the city of Figeac and there you will find l'Eglise Protestante Evangélique de Figeac faithfully serving our Lord.  Remember them today as we pray.  We will be moving from the Auvergne region to Midi-Pyrénées region as we move our way to the Pyrénées. Today the sprinters will enjoy one more finish line before the mountain climbers have their glory.  Enjoy the beauty, excitement and the presence of God today as you pray.

Our Lord, we come before you humbled by who you are.  We see you working in France and in the hearts of people and we are thankful for all that you are doing.  Lord, today as we ride through Figeac I pray that l'Eglise Protestante Evangélique de Figeac  will know that they are being prayed over.  We thank you for their love for the Word of God.  They make it priority in their church and we bless them for this. Lord, encourage them for all they do.  Be with their pastor and his family.  Let them all grow in the knowledge of you and in your grace.  Help them to build relationships with families and friends so that they can share the good news and your love.  We pray all these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Étape 13 Rodez > Revel

The more I learn about the country of France the more I believe France is about simple things.  France is filled with cities Rodez and Revel were life is very much down to earth, good people living with each other making their lives full of family and good things from the earth.  Some fresh bread, wonderful cheese, the local wine, and a place to live with centuries of history and the buzz of today all around them.  But like all people life is not always wonderful, and the French do not like to share what is private.  For missionaries coming to live in France is takes along time before, if ever, they are pulled into the real part of French life.  Pray that God will break down those barriers that keep relationship from growing.  Ask God to help the non-french to understand the culture and rules of the French society. Pray that these things would not hinder the message of Christ being accepted in France.  This area of France has a long history of religion playing a part in their lives and it has not always been good. Pray that the French will see Jesus Christ, worthy to be part of their lives and not just a piece of history.

Sovereign Lord,
The past has built many stronghold in the people of France.  We see their culture and rules are different then our own and it is hard to be accepted as one of them.  Lord, I know that you can break down these barriers to the gospel message and bring a new spirit into the hearts of the French.  Jesus, you are worthy of our worship today just as you were in the days of the past.  I pray that unbelieving hearts will soon open when you stand at the door and knock.  Thank you for knocking.  Lord, we are fully convinced that you are able to do what you have promised.  So Lord, we boldly ask to you to call the French people to salvation on this day, binding whatever stands in the way of the preaching and teaching of the Word of God to all.  We pray in the name of Jesus the one and only.  Amen

Estaing

Estaing is a city in the department of Aveyron 12. It is famous for its history and beauty. King Philippe-Auguste in Bouvines' life was saved here in this village and He gave them the right to display the royal fleurs-de-lys on its coat of arms. Do we display the royal cross on our coat of arms. Do people around us know that we belong to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I pray that they do.

Lord, long ago in this area of France a King's life was saved and the people were honored for their act of loyalty. Lord, as we come into lent we know that your life was not spared but given to us as our sacrifice. Lord, I pray that as the people of Aveyron remember your death they will realize that You willingly died so that they might live. Like King Philippe your give us a cross to bare. Let the world see your mark on us. Let them know that our lives are lived out of our gratitude to You our King. Lord, let them see that the King of Kings does live and will live in their hearts as well.
I pray these things in the name of Jesus my sacrifice. Amen
