Praying for Loire

 Dear Father, we begin the day in Loire in the village of Boën-sur-Lignon.  Lord, we read your promise in Isaiah 65: 24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.  Hear us this day as we pray for this region of France.   You know our heart as we pray for Your Church in France, for those who serve you.  Strengthen them,  and remind them that You hear them as they call upon You.  Thank You for your faithfulness to your children.  We pray in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Praying for Loire

Luke 9:23

And He said to them all, “If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

Lord, Remind us as we see the cross here in Loire to daily take up  our cross and follow you.  Lord, we pray that The people of Loire will be reminded what happen to you on the cross, and what grace cost you and the Father to give to each of us.  Lord,  We desire For the people of France to follow you.  Work in hearts today in Loire.  We pray in the name of Jesus.

Praying for Ain

I Samuel 2:2 There is none holy as the Lord, for there is none besides Thee; neither is there any rock like our God.

Father, El Elyon(the most High God) there is none holy as you and there is none besides Thee; Lord you are our rock.  Father, we pray for the department of Ain and we pray that as they see the out cropping that  they will be reminded of You and seek after you.  Lord, we pray they will hear your word and do as it says so that they will be a building their house on a rock.  We pray for the salvation of the souls in Ain.  We pray in the name of Jesus.  Amen

Praying for Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

Over the next 8 days we will be praying for the Region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.  This region is a new region that was created in 2016 by the fusing the two older regions Auvergne and the Rhône-Alpes. It is made up of 12 departments.  

Ain, Allier, Ardeche, Cantal, Drome, Haute- Loire, Haute-Savoie, Isere, Loire, Puy-de-Drome, Rhone, Savoie are the twelve departments.  We have prayed through this area of France in the pass, but it is good that we lift them up before the Father at this time.  


Heavenly Father, 
We humbly bow before you as we pray for the people of the Region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.  Lord many people call this region home, but many people come to visit and enjoy the beauty of Your creation.  Lord, we know that You have revealed yourself to us through nature, so we are without excuse. Lord we consider our need for you and see that our need is great.  Father we yield ourselves to you, for we desire to be instrument for Your Glory.  Father, we pray that as people come to see the beauty of your creation they will see You revealed through Creation and see their own personal need of You in their lives and yield to Your purpose in their lives as Father, Lord, and Savior.  Thank you for presenting Your glory to us through nature.  We pray in the name of Jesus.

Cantal 15

Mountains, cows, and cheese are few of the things the Department of Cantal is known for in the south central area of France.

Psalm 90:1-2
Lord, you have been our dwelling place[a]
    in all generations.
 Before the mountains were brought forth,
    or ever you had formed the earth and the world,
    from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

 Dear Heavenly Father,

Before the Mountains of Cantal were created you were God.  Father we look around France and see your beautiful creation and know it only exist because You are God.  Father we pray that You will be acknowledged as not only creator but Holy Father in the hearts of all the people of Cantal.  We pray all these things in the name of Jesus, our Lord.  Amen.

Praying for Allier 03

Psalm 51:17

     

My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.

Father,
This morning we come to the heart of France to pray for the department of Allier. Lord, here in the heart of France we pray for the people of Allier to have a broken and a contrite heart.  Lord, we ask that you begin with our hearts.  Break them and use them for your honor and glory.  Lord,  move in the hearts of the people of France.  We pray all these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Étape 10 Aurillac to Carmaux



Carmaux

 The Tour will ride through the city of Figeac and there you will find l'Eglise Protestante Evangélique de Figeac faithfully serving our Lord.  Remember them today as we pray.  We will be moving from the Auvergne region to Midi-Pyrénées region as we move our way to the Pyrénées. Today the sprinters will enjoy one more finish line before the mountain climbers have their glory.  Enjoy the beauty, excitement and the presence of God today as you pray.

Our Lord, we come before you humbled by who you are.  We see you working in France and in the hearts of people and we are thankful for all that you are doing.  Lord, today as we ride through Figeac I pray that l'Eglise Protestante Evangélique de Figeac  will know that they are being prayed over.  We thank you for their love for the Word of God.  They make it priority in their church and we bless them for this. Lord, encourage them for all they do.  Be with their pastor and his family.  Let them all grow in the knowledge of you and in your grace.  Help them to build relationships with families and friends so that they can share the good news and your love.  We pray all these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Sovereign Lord,

Creator of all things.  Today as we watch the race we see your mastery over all things.  Thank you of all the beauty and majesty that we enjoy today we know that it comes from you.   You are a good and loving God and you have revealed yourself to us, therefore we are without excuse, but, we have fallen short of your glory.  We have all sinned and need your redeeming love.  Jesus, you are the Christ, and we thank you for dieing for us.  We are eternally grateful for the life that you have given us, but our hearts are broken when we see so many around us who do not believe you are the Christ.  Lord, we know that only you can change their hearts, but I do not want to be the reason they have rejected you.  Sovereign Lord call the people from Bourg-de-Péage to Mende to salvation.  We love them and we desire for them to know you.  Holy Spirit increase their desire to seek after God, and help us to love each other and speak truth so that they can believe that Jesus is the Christ.   Add many to your Church today.  We pray through the name of the Holy Servant Jesus.  Amen

Puy-de-Dôme Department 63

Puy-de-Dôme is not only a Department but also the name of the Volcano in the Department.  You may visit the top of the volcano by car or on foot.  When you are at the top you will be 1464 meters high. The view is worth the time on a clear day.  Close to the top of the stands the ruins of a temple to the god of Mercury built by the Romans.  The Temple of Mercury reminds me how easy it has always been for man to choose other gods to worship and deny the one True God. 

 Dear Father as we knell before you in prayer our hearts are sad with the truth that we find it so easy to serve other things or gods before we serve you.  Forgive us for our idolatry.  Lord we desire to serve You and You only.  Give us the boldness to teach our children that you are the only God who deserves our praise and adoration.  Lord I pray for the families in Puy-de-Dôme that they will love the Lord our God with one heart, soul, and mind.  Lord keep thy Word in front of our eyes, minds and in our hearts so that we will not forget you.  Thank you for the Holy Spirit who reminds us of You. I pray all these things in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Amen

Haute Loire Department 43

Haute Loire department 43 in region of Auvergne is made up with farmland filled with goats, sheep and cattle.  This region is know for the cheese it produces.  The Loire and the Allier rivers help define the borders of this department.  In Haute Loire there are 14 Evangelical churches reaching out to the 217,000 people who live here.  Le Puy is one of the main cities in this department. 

Dear Father,
Thank you Father for the beautiful villages to raise a family.  Lord we continue to come on the behalf of the family structure in France.  Lord, strength each family.  Help them to love each other and to care for one another.  Lord keep the families strong believe in You, let their relationship with you entice others.  Let them live their lives so others will see you.  Thank you for the 14 evangelical churches in this area.  Help them to grow and plant even more.  I thank you in the name of Jesus I pray.

Let the children come.

Exodus 34:5-7
Then the LORD came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the Lord. And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, "The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness,maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation."

Lord,
You are The Lord who is compassionate and you are the only gracious God. You are slow to anger and abounding in Love. Lord you have shone your faithfulness each and every day. Loving us even when we are yet sinners, but you do not leave the guilty unpunished, and we see how our sins have visited our children and their children even to the 4Th generation.

I humbly come before you Lord, The Lord, as an individual representing the sins of a generation who has done our own thing, I know that we deny that you are God. There in none righteous no not one and I know that includes me. Forgive us Lord. Please cleanse us and spare our children. Rise up a generation that will glorify you as The One True God.
Lord, I pray that we who have been forgiven will teach our children who you are. Let Your Word be hidden in our hearts and our children's heart so that we might not sin against thee. Thank you for the sacrifice of your Son on the cross. Thank you for your faithfulness. Please Lord, let the little children of Aurergne come to you. Let them know and believe in you so that the chain of sin will be broken in the generations to come.
I pray in the name of Jesus Lord, The Lord.

Cantal Department 15

Lord,
here in the center of France we continue to pray for the family. Lord, we have asked for men who will follow your heart, but today I pray for the mothers and grandmothers who are so much the key to any family. Lord, I pray that the women of France will see that they need you in the center of their heart and home. Lord, let them see the need to surrender their lives to you and let you direct their heart's desires. Lord, as women we desire the best for our children and the only way that can happen is if we know You and share You with all of our family.
Bring believers to this area to teach Your word so that Christian families will build their lives on Your rock. Today I pray for the women in the region of Auvergne in the department of Cantal. Let them understand and crave to know you. I pray in the precious name of Jesus my Lord. Amen

Allier Department 3

This department of Allier has a city named Vichy. Most famous for its time during WWII when the Germans set up their headquarters, but if you go further back in time you find the Gallic legions of Vercingetorix. A man who stood against all odds to face the Romans.

Lord, I pray that here in Allier that Christian men will stand up and proclaim the gospel of Christ against all odds. Lord, we need strong men who love you and know that You are their one true God and that your Word is Truth knowing that You will never forsake them. Be their strong tower as you have promised to be.

Lord, I pray that they will surrender to you as they stand as men of God in their cities, homes and in their daily life. Equip them to be godly men who live with their armor on ready to face the battle in your name.
I pray this because I know that you will honor this request. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Auvergne, France

Auvergne is in the center of France. It has four departments; Allier (3), Central (15), Haute Loire (43), and Puy de Dome (63). God has been asking me to pray for the family structure while we are here in this region.

Lord,
I thank you for this opportunity to come before you. Thank you for healing and for your mercy on my life. Lord, during this month here at home our small family has worked together to make each day work as normal as we could while I continue to convalesce. Lord, I thank you for my husband and children who help me and bless me. Lord, all over this world the structure of the family is being questioned, mocked, ridiculed and dismembered. Your plan for the family has been replaced with our plans. Lord, please forgive us for going our own way. Lord, here in Auvergne I pray that the family as you have planned will be strengthened. Lord, I pray that you will bring to hearts and minds the importance of following your ways. Bless the families who worship you and follow you. Protect them from destruction and evil. Help them to grown in the knowledge of you and understand that they are right with they obey you.

Provence-Alpes- Cote d'Azur and Auvergne

In the next 4 weeks we will be exploring these two regions of France. Cote d'Azur is one of my favorite places. We were able to vacation here for a few days as we backpacked through Europe many years ago.

Enjoy each department for their qualities and God given beauty. Pray for the people of this area to know our Lord and Savior as their own. Encourage the churches and believers that you know in these areas. Thank you again for praying for France.
