 Thine, O LORD,

I Chronicles  29:11-12

Stage 19 Albertville / Saint-Gervais Mont Blanc

Lord, 

We pray for the department of Savoie.  We pray that they will see the light of the world.  You sent the Light in to the world when you sent Jesus as a baby in a village called Bethlehem.  Lord we live in a dark world and so many live in the darkness and they have no clue that Jesus is the Light.  Lord, we pray that here in Savoie we pray that the Light of the World will shine in the hearts of men.  We pray that You will be glorified by those that live with Christ living in their hearts.  We pray that many will receive You as their Savior and Your light will drive away the darkness in their lives.  

We pray in the name of Jesus, our Light.  Amen

John 8:12

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Praying for Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

Over the next 8 days we will be praying for the Region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.  This region is a new region that was created in 2016 by the fusing the two older regions Auvergne and the Rhône-Alpes. It is made up of 12 departments.  

Ain, Allier, Ardeche, Cantal, Drome, Haute- Loire, Haute-Savoie, Isere, Loire, Puy-de-Drome, Rhone, Savoie are the twelve departments.  We have prayed through this area of France in the pass, but it is good that we lift them up before the Father at this time.  


Heavenly Father, 
We humbly bow before you as we pray for the people of the Region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.  Lord many people call this region home, but many people come to visit and enjoy the beauty of Your creation.  Lord, we know that You have revealed yourself to us through nature, so we are without excuse. Lord we consider our need for you and see that our need is great.  Father we yield ourselves to you, for we desire to be instrument for Your Glory.  Father, we pray that as people come to see the beauty of your creation they will see You revealed through Creation and see their own personal need of You in their lives and yield to Your purpose in their lives as Father, Lord, and Savior.  Thank you for presenting Your glory to us through nature.  We pray in the name of Jesus.

Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world,[g] in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 

Étape 10 Cambéry > Gap

Today as we head to Gap we will be passing very close to Camp des Cimes in Bourg d’Oisans, France.  This month they have two camps.  English Camp  4 au 18 juillet  for 14-18 year old and  Adult English Camp 20 au 31 juillet 18+ .  Pray for Camp des Cimes as they minister to the campers.  Pray that God's word will be taught with clarity and that many minds will be open to the Holy Spirit working in their hearts.  Camp des Cimes has been here since the 60's with the goal to reach the youth of France with the gospel of Christ.  Stop by their website and let them know we are praying for them.  You can also find them on Face book.

Lord,

We thank you for Camp des Cimes and that you laid it on their hearts to minister to the youth in France.  Up in the peaks they have built a place of refuge where you can be found.  Lord, bless them as they have camp this summer.  Bring the right people to them for the staff and the right campers for this season.  Lord, I thank you that camp is a wonderful place to have a quiet moment away from the noises that invade us each day.  Lord, I pray that up in the peaks of the Alps they will feel you in the wind, and see you as a mighty God who loves them very much.  Wrap your arms around them.  Thank you Father, for your love and for this place that is made for you. 

 I pray this in the name of Jesus.  Amen

Étape 9 Morzine-Avoriaz > Saint Jean-de-Maurienne

Today will be mountains and more mountains on the way to Saint Jean-de-Maurienne.  We will see our first HC climb with two category 1 climbs. I hope they were all able to rest.  Today we have our finish line down in the valley, decent will be very important. Pray for safety.  

2 Samuel 22:29-37

For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.

For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall.

As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?

God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

He maketh my feet like hinds' feet: and setteth me upon my high places.

He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great.

Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.

Lord, just like the riders need guidance and help to ride this race today, we need you for our lives.  Lord, We pray that you will be a lamp to the people of the Rhône Alps region and lighten their darkness.  Lord, be their strength and power and make their way perfect.  Keep their feet from slipping.  Please bring salvation to the Rhône Alps today as your word is preached, let them have ears to hear and hearts to believe.  We thank you for those who are sharing your good news to all who will listen.  Bless them on this day and give them strength and courage.  Thank you for the hope you have given. 

We pray all these things in the name of Jesus our Lord, Amen.

Savoie Department (73)

God is working in the Alpes. Many people visit this area year around. In Albertville the winter 1992 Olympics were hosted, Savoie borders the Italian Alpes. Pray for not only the people who live here, but those who visit on holiday. Let us pray that the Christians will be like the light that shines from the huts on the mountains. A beacon of hope to the lost travlers. Eglise Protestante Evangelique de Congnin is one of those lights in the mountains. Pray for their daily lives to be constantly bright lights in this world.

Lord,
Thank you for your presence in Savoie. Thank you again for the breath-taking beauty that you have provided for us to enjoy. Lord, I pray that everyone who denies you as creator will question their beliefs when they come to Savoie. Lord, thank you for my brothers and sisters in Christ who live in Savoie, help them to live so others will see you, the redemption that they desire. Allow many opportunities for your word to be spoken and shared. Thank you for providing the good news. Help us to tell.
