Stage 14 Montélimar / Villars-les-Dombes Parc des Oiseaux

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40: 31

Yesterdays stage finished in Villars-les-Dombes Parc des Oiseaux that is known for its bird sanctuary.  At times in our personal and public lives we become weary and this verse is there to remind us and to refresh us.  God is working and he is personally working in our lives for our good.  I am not sure how God will work good from the events in Nice but we know from past history God is working and He will use these actions, tears and sorrows for our good.  There is a race to be won, run it in his strength and he will lift us up. 

Father, we are weary and our strength is beginning to wane.  Renew our strength and let us mount up on eagles wings and let us soar. 
We pray in the name of Jesus.  Amen. 

Praying for Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

Over the next 8 days we will be praying for the Region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.  This region is a new region that was created in 2016 by the fusing the two older regions Auvergne and the Rhône-Alpes. It is made up of 12 departments.  

Ain, Allier, Ardeche, Cantal, Drome, Haute- Loire, Haute-Savoie, Isere, Loire, Puy-de-Drome, Rhone, Savoie are the twelve departments.  We have prayed through this area of France in the pass, but it is good that we lift them up before the Father at this time.  


Heavenly Father, 
We humbly bow before you as we pray for the people of the Region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.  Lord many people call this region home, but many people come to visit and enjoy the beauty of Your creation.  Lord, we know that You have revealed yourself to us through nature, so we are without excuse. Lord we consider our need for you and see that our need is great.  Father we yield ourselves to you, for we desire to be instrument for Your Glory.  Father, we pray that as people come to see the beauty of your creation they will see You revealed through Creation and see their own personal need of You in their lives and yield to Your purpose in their lives as Father, Lord, and Savior.  Thank you for presenting Your glory to us through nature.  We pray in the name of Jesus. 
Amen.

Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world,[g] in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 

Stage 15 Mende / Valence

This Sunday the Tour rode through the southern parts of France from Mende to Valence.  From the region of Languedoc-Rousillon to Rhone Alpes.  Tomorrow they will be riding in to  Gap.  Today was the last day for the sprinters till the the ride into Paris.  It was a fight for the line and I hope your favorite crossed the line in good time.

Father we continue to pray for the southern region of France.  Today we pray for the mothers and wives as they raise their children as they teach them to love You.  Lord, please bring strength and blessing to each mom as the work hard each day to give to their kids a good life.  Lead them to You.  We pray in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Drôme 26

 Dear Father,
Today we pray for the department of Drôme down in the southern region of Rhone Alpes.  Father the beauty continues as we visit this department.  Lord, we pray for the men in Drôme. We know that Satan desires to kill steal and destroy all that you have created.  Lord, we ask that as boys grow up that you will build a hedge around their eyes, minds, hearts, and souls.  Bring into their lives purity, love, forgiveness, kindness, gentleness, and goodness.  Lord build up strong boys and men who love Your Word and desire to live according to your precepts.  Lord, we pray this very thing for all of our husbands and sons in our own lives.  Lord, we need godly men in France and in every nation in this world.  We pray all this in the name of Jesus the righteous one.  Amen.

Étape 16 Saint Paul-Trois- Châteaux to Gap

Yesterday I received and email from a friend reminding me of how the beautiful it is in this area but how sad it is to know how lost they are when they do not know the creator of the beauty that surrounds them.  Today we begin our day in the department of Drome (26) and they are know for their wines, a goat cheese called picodon, black olives and lavender. 

John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

Jesus, You are the vine and as we travel through the vineyards today remind us of this very fact.  Lord, without you we can do nothing.  We thank you that this is true even in France.  For the people of France to bear eternal fruit they must abide in you.  We pray that the people of France will be your branches as they abide in you.  We pray in the name of Jesus, the vine.  Amen

Étape 12, Bourg-de-Péage > Mende

Sovereign Lord,

Creator of all things.  Today as we watch the race we see your mastery over all things.  Thank you of all the beauty and majesty that we enjoy today we know that it comes from you.   You are a good and loving God and you have revealed yourself to us, therefore we are without excuse, but, we have fallen short of your glory.  We have all sinned and need your redeeming love.  Jesus, you are the Christ, and we thank you for dieing for us.  We are eternally grateful for the life that you have given us, but our hearts are broken when we see so many around us who do not believe you are the Christ.  Lord, we know that only you can change their hearts, but I do not want to be the reason they have rejected you.  Sovereign Lord call the people from Bourg-de-Péage to Mende to salvation.  We love them and we desire for them to know you.  Holy Spirit increase their desire to seek after God, and help us to love each other and speak truth so that they can believe that Jesus is the Christ.   Add many to your Church today.  We pray through the name of the Holy Servant Jesus.  Amen

Drôme, France

Drôme borders Ardèche to the east. Filled with 100 year old olive, and fruit trees, with castles of old still standing the French understand the phrase forever a little bit more than we do.

Isaiah 40:8

Lord,

Your word has been the same for thousands of years.  What you inspired David, Isaiah, or Paul to write so long ago is still  true today.  Lord, here in Drôme, France I pray that believers and unbelievers will believe your word, because it is trust worthy.  It is eternal, and life changing.  Lord, we continue to ask that Your Word which means so much to us will bring life and hope to all in Drôme.  Encourage the pastors here as they study your truths.  Lift them up and give them your power to speak and teach your word.  I thank you for all things.  Thank you that Your word will stand for ever.  I pray in the name of the word which became flesh and dwelt among us, Jesus.  Amen
