Stage 1 Time Trial

The fastest man today was Dennis Rohan from Australia riding for Team BMC.  Dennis is one of the upper and coming young riders, this is his second year riding professionally.  Congratulations to Dennis and his team for winning the stage.  Tomorrow BMC will be riding to protect the Yellow Jersey.  I am sure they did not want that job this soon in the race.

Father, thank you for the victories you give us in our lives.  Bless Dennis and his team on this day.  We pray in the name of Jesus Amen.

Stage 1

Utrecht/ Utrecht  14 KM

Old but yet young.  The City of Utrecht in the Netherlands began back in the stone age but today over 50 % of their population is under the age of 44.  Many citizens  use cycling as their own mode of transportation.
Let us pray for the youth of Utrecht to surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Lord, we pray for the young population of Utrecht today as the tour begins.  Lord, let the youth of this city search for You and find you to be their hope
.....................their salvation,
...........................................  life eternal,
...............................................................most of all Jesus as their Lord.

Father, let your message be lived, and shared in the city of Utrecht so that many will come to know you and choice you to be their Lord and Savior.  We pray all these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Today begins the tour in England and it begins with a possible sprinters finish, but as I watch the race the kilometers are filled with obsticles and many challenges and our prayer lives are much the same. Many times we pray and we see that our prayers may be answered quickly and freely and so we ease up but then the difficulties come and we need to dig in and begin the work of prayer once more. The tour is a marathon of work and toil, so let us dig in and continue to pray for France and not give up in this good work.

Stage 1

Corsica

The Tour has arrived on the island of Corsica

Lord, we pray for safety with the tour this year, but we also desire to pray for the people of Corsica.  Lord, allow your Holy Spirit freedom to arrive in the hearts of Corsica. We pray for your Word to be spoken and received today as your Good News is shared.

we pray all these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen
