Mountain of the Cross

Lord, I think of the hill of Mount Calvary, where you carried my cross for me.  The place you hung on my cross and died for me.  Lord I pray for each of these racers as they give of themselves for the victory for others.  Lord I pray these men will see a glimps of you for you have died for them.  You have payed their debt and they only need believe and confess their sins and accept your free gift of salvation.  Lord let them see your cross on the Mount of Calvary.  We pray in the name of Jesus our Lord.  Amen

Sunday in the Mountain

Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your justice like the great deep. You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.

Father, we thank you for being a righteous God who cares for all of your creation.  Lord, we thank you for the beauty we have seen in France today.  We thank you for the body of Christ in this region.  Lord we call upon your justice and ask that you will preserve the people of France.  Draw them close to you and allow our sisters and brothers in Christ to have a profound witness, so that many will hear of your righteousness and justice.  Lord, preserve the gospel message to the millions in France today.  We pray in the name of Jesus our Savior.  Amen.

Lord, Thank you for being our calm in our lives so that we might carry on. Lord here on the race side many people were there to witness the tour. Lord we pray for these people, so they can know you as their calming power in their lives. Thank you for being with us in the storms and we know that you have the power to calm them and we can trust in you. So when the waves crash on the shores of our lives you are there. Lord we ask that you will bring salvation to the heart of the people of England and let them carry on in life and in death knowing you are there. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus. Amen

Thank you England for a wonderful second day of the tour. It was a great race day and the crowds were great. I also want to thank the British people for all they have done to spread the gospel through out the ages. In my life having my first white KJV Bible with the zipper cover was important. I still remember many of the scriptures I hid in my heart.
Father, thank you for the people of England and all they have done to spread the good news of the gospel around the world. Lord, we pray for the people of England today that they will come to know you as their Lord and King. Open up hearts and let your word be sown so there may be a harvest of souls for your glory. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus. Amen

Today begins the tour in England and it begins with a possible sprinters finish, but as I watch the race the kilometers are filled with obsticles and many challenges and our prayer lives are much the same. Many times we pray and we see that our prayers may be answered quickly and freely and so we ease up but then the difficulties come and we need to dig in and begin the work of prayer once more. The tour is a marathon of work and toil, so let us dig in and continue to pray for France and not give up in this good work.

Étape 6 Dinan to Lisieux

Today and tomorrow will be sprint finishes.  We leave the medieval city of Dinan located in Brittany and travel to Lisieux in the region of Normandy. Dinan is a small port city along the river.  Today you are able to see much of the original city.  It looks very royal. At the finish line in Lisieux we find the Basilica of St.Thérèse.  Over two million visitors come each year on a pilgrimage looking for favor from God.

Lord, we pray as the millions pilgrimage to Lisieux looking for your favor I pray the find that you are waiting for them to come into a personal relationship, knowing you as their Lord and Savior.  Lord, thank you for the salvation that Jesus has provided us on the cross.  Lord, many are seeking but do the see the salvation you have provided through grace and mercy.  Do they except your love and assurance of their justification through the righteousness of Christ.  We pray that they will see and believe.  We pray in the name of Jesus our Savior.  Amen
