Today we raced in the region of Brittany and watched the crowds as they gathered along the roadside.  Cycling is loved by the people of Brittany from the local races to the national and international races.  Pray for the people along the road today.

Father we pray for the people of Brittany.  We pray that they will love you with all their heart and soul and mind.  Lord, we pray for a growth of love in our hearts for our brothers and sisters in Christ and for those who need you as their Father.  We pray  for all these things in the name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Matthew 23:11 The greatest among you will be your servant. 12 For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

Heavenly Father,
We pray for the church in Côtes d'Armor, we pray that they will humble themselves so that they can show your way and light to the people of France your plan for greatness. Lord, teach us all how to humble ourselves before you and before others.  We pray that your greatness will be seen in the department of Côtes d'Armor. We pray in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Étape 6 Dinan to Lisieux

Today and tomorrow will be sprint finishes.  We leave the medieval city of Dinan located in Brittany and travel to Lisieux in the region of Normandy. Dinan is a small port city along the river.  Today you are able to see much of the original city.  It looks very royal. At the finish line in Lisieux we find the Basilica of St.Thérèse.  Over two million visitors come each year on a pilgrimage looking for favor from God.

Lord, we pray as the millions pilgrimage to Lisieux looking for your favor I pray the find that you are waiting for them to come into a personal relationship, knowing you as their Lord and Savior.  Lord, thank you for the salvation that Jesus has provided us on the cross.  Lord, many are seeking but do the see the salvation you have provided through grace and mercy.  Do they except your love and assurance of their justification through the righteousness of Christ.  We pray that they will see and believe.  We pray in the name of Jesus our Savior.  Amen

Étape 5 Carhaix to Cap Fréhel

I have been seeing this flag being waved here in Brittany.  It is their regional flag. Today in the award ceremony there was a lady dressed in a regional dress.  I hope we see more of the culture of Brittany as we move from Carhaix and ride along the northern coast of France to Cap Fréhel.

Lord, we enjoy the history of this place and it is a wonderful to see that history matters.  Lord, I pray that as the people of Brittany remember their history they will look to you for you are the maker of their lives in the past and today for the future.  We ask that as they celebrate their past they will celebrate You as creator of their land and homes.  You are the redeemer of their families and souls.  Father we pray that the people of Brittany will believe in You the author and finisher of their faith. 
We ask all these things in the name of Jesus.
