Étape 7 Le Mans to Châteauroux

Le Mans is located in the department of Sarthe (72).  From here we head south through the central part of France.  Along the way we will see many chateaux and castles.  It is always wonderful to see the beauty that man has made, but most of all the beauty of what God has created.  Enjoy this day as we head south.  Pray as we go.

Thank you Father for all the beauty of France.  We thoroughly enjoy your handiwork and the man made beauty as well.  Lord, we ask that you continue to create beauty in the lives of the people of central France.  Move in hearts and allow hearts to be changed from hard to soft, cold to warm, and dark to light.  Lord, only you can create new life and so we ask that new life comes to the people of France.  We pray all these things the the power of the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Étape 6 Dinan to Lisieux

Today and tomorrow will be sprint finishes.  We leave the medieval city of Dinan located in Brittany and travel to Lisieux in the region of Normandy. Dinan is a small port city along the river.  Today you are able to see much of the original city.  It looks very royal. At the finish line in Lisieux we find the Basilica of St.Thérèse.  Over two million visitors come each year on a pilgrimage looking for favor from God.

Lord, we pray as the millions pilgrimage to Lisieux looking for your favor I pray the find that you are waiting for them to come into a personal relationship, knowing you as their Lord and Savior.  Lord, thank you for the salvation that Jesus has provided us on the cross.  Lord, many are seeking but do the see the salvation you have provided through grace and mercy.  Do they except your love and assurance of their justification through the righteousness of Christ.  We pray that they will see and believe.  We pray in the name of Jesus our Savior.  Amen

Étape 5 Carhaix to Cap Fréhel

I have been seeing this flag being waved here in Brittany.  It is their regional flag. Today in the award ceremony there was a lady dressed in a regional dress.  I hope we see more of the culture of Brittany as we move from Carhaix and ride along the northern coast of France to Cap Fréhel.

Lord, we enjoy the history of this place and it is a wonderful to see that history matters.  Lord, I pray that as the people of Brittany remember their history they will look to you for you are the maker of their lives in the past and today for the future.  We ask that as they celebrate their past they will celebrate You as creator of their land and homes.  You are the redeemer of their families and souls.  Father we pray that the people of Brittany will believe in You the author and finisher of their faith. 
We ask all these things in the name of Jesus.

Lord you are the Lord of all and we come before you as we leave Lorient and travel through the department of Brittany.  Lord we ask at the Holy Spirit will move through Lorient, Pontivy, Quimperle, Mellac, Saint-Thurien, Scaer, Laz, Saint Goazec, Spezet, Gourin, Langonnet, Glomel, Mellionec, Neulliac, and ending at Mûr-de-Bretagne.  Let your word be taught as you open hearts to hear.  Lord, I pray that people in Brittany ask You to be their Lord and Savior.  Bless those who are living for you in Brittany. We pray in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Today we end the race in Redon located in Ille et Vilaine department 35 of Brittany.  This is the first time Redon has been a stage city, but cycling has been a part of this city for many years.  Today in the crowds Eugene and his team will be on the ground handing out information about Jesus Christ.  Pray for them as they share today and then later a meeting at one of the local churches.  Pray that God will open hearts and that many will listen to the message about Jesus. 

Almighty Father, we thank you for Eglise Proestante Baptiste Chateau d'Olonne and Redon Eglise Evangélique let their light shine before men so that they will see You as their Father.  Use them to reach the people you being in their path.  Thank you for the opportunity to share the gospel story with the spectators at the tour. Move in hearts, so they are ready to hear about Your son, Jesus.  Thank you for the beauty of this area and all who are call this home.  We pray all these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Étape 2 Team Time Trials

Today is the day the teams show themselves as one.  They must work together through the whole tour but today they must be as one.  When ever I think about the tour I think about the Church.  We to are a team that must work together to help each other run the race.  It is our support for each other that allows us to stay faithful. 

The city of Les Essarts is familiar with speed because they enjoy auto racing in this area of France.

Lord, thank you for Les Essarts.  We thank you for this city and we pray that as they enjoy the team time trials they will take the time to enjoy You.  Lord, I pray that you will open hearts to hear your message of Your love for the people of Les Essarts.  Bring believers to this city so that the Good News can be shared.  We pray for salvation to come to the city of Les Essarts.

Today we begin this prayer journey through France.  We begin in Vendée on the western coast of France.  Today will be exciting as the riders workout all the excitment of begining the tour.  Pray for safety and for the people on the road.  As you watch the crowds do not forget to pray for their souls, as you see the churches pray for their witness in their communities. 

Here we are in the sea side village of La Barre-de-Monts where the race begins.  They will bike for 191.5 km today to the city of Mont des Alouettes.  Along the route they will be going through the city of Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez  here God is working at:

Father,
we always rejoice when we find you at work in a city here in France.  Lord, as we pray through the tour this year we will find more of your work and rejoice in it.  We pray for the city of Saint-Hilaire-de- Riez and for Antenne Protestante Church.  Thank you for this place of worship.  Bless them as they serve you in Saint Hilaire-de-Riez.  We pray that a work will soon begin in La Barre-de-Monts.  Let your word be heard in the department of Vendée.
