Stage 4 Seraing / Cambrai
Today we enter France. We will be coming into the department Nord (59)
Today will be filled with cobbles, ruts, and possibly more crashes, so pray for a safe race today.
Pray for the people of this department as they live their lives surrounded by the reminders of the past. Pray that their faith in the Father will grow as they see the Father working in their lives. Pray that hearts will be open and soften to the word of God and that they will be grounded in His promises written in scripture.
Lord,
we pray for the people of France but also for the people in this area of France. Lord, we know that you love each one and you have provided salvation for all. We pray that hearts will be opened to hear about your promises of abundant life through your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, let the Words of scripture land on many soft hearts, ready to receive your message. Lord, break down any walls we build so that your Word can be spoken today. Lord we pray for open and ready hearts in Nord, department 59.
We pray all these things in the name of Jesus,
Amen.

Étape 3 Orchies > Boulogne-sur-Mer
Today we ride in France to the coast. Here in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais, we still feel and see Flimish influences all around us. The steel industry and agriculture bring work to this area making it this the most densely populated area outside of Paris. This will be the first time Orchies has hosted the Tour, and Boulongne-sur-Mer is a port city that dates back to the Romans. Mankind has called this region home for along time. Yet with all the richness in history each new generation must make their own personal choice concerning Calvary and the Cross of Christ. Pray for the churches and for the people who call this region home. Pray for many to look to the Cross and accept the reedeming work of Calvary for themselves. Father we thank you for the region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais and for all the history that has happened here in this place. But, Father the individuals that live here today must look back and see the cross and see your Son. Let them realize their need for You as Father, and Jesus as Savior. Lord, as the word of God is shared with people today, we pray that Your Word will be planted in hearts and the ground will be fertile and that Your truth will take root here. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus. Amen

Region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais
59 Nord - Lille
62 Pas de Calais - Dunkerque.
This region is filled with people. It has 323.7 people per km2 over 4 million people total. It is one of the most densely populated areas of France. During WWII the city of Dunkerque was the first city in France to be liberated from Germany. When I thought about liberty and what it most mean to the people of Nord-Pas-de-Calais, I had to wonder if they had been reminded of Jesus and how he can set us free from the enemy of our own souls. Pray for the churches in this area, pray that people will be willing to hear the Gospel message as they teach and preach God's word. Pray for our brothers and sisters as they live each day for our Lord growing in the wisdom only He can provide through the reading of His word and through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Pray that others will see Christ in their lives and desire to know Him.
I pray for the people of Nord-Pas-de-Calais, I pray they will see the need to be free from the bondage of sin. I pray that they will hear the good news that your son, Jesus has paid for their lives with His own. Thank you Father for loving us and seeing my need of you. Thank you for your salvation and I pray that you will allow your grace to be poured out over the departments of Nord and Pas-de-Calais. Bring freedom and liberty to all who believe on your name.
I pray in the name of Jesus, my liberator. Amen
