Super Sagan

Peter Sagan makes his move again today.  I enjoyed this stage.  The rolling hills at the end made for exciting cycling.  I pray all those who were hurt will heal quickly and properly.  Congratulation to Peter, for making this stage a victory for his team and his fans.  Praying for a safe ride for all tomorrow.

Étape 3 Orchies > Boulogne-sur-Mer

Today we ride in France to the coast.  Here in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais, we still feel and see Flimish influences all around us.  The steel industry and agriculture bring work to this area making it this the most densely populated area outside of Paris.  This will be the first time Orchies has hosted the Tour, and Boulongne-sur-Mer is a port city that dates back to the Romans.  Mankind has called this region home for along time.  Yet with all the richness in history each new generation must make their own personal choice concerning Calvary and the Cross of Christ.  Pray for the churches and for the people who call this region home.  Pray for many to look to the Cross and accept the reedeming work of Calvary for themselves.

Father we thank you for the region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais and for all the history that has happened here in this place. But, Father the individuals that live here today must look back and see the cross and see your Son. Let them realize their need for You as Father, and Jesus as Savior.  Lord, as the word of God is shared with people today,  we pray that Your Word will be planted in hearts and the ground will be fertile and that Your truth will take root here.  We pray all these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen

Étape 4, Cambrai > Reims

Along the race route each day is a parade to entertain the spectators as they are waiting for the riders.  Semer Ministry has a team of people who are on the streets at the start city and the finish city for each state.  Today they are working along side Eglise Évangélique Baptistie,  and Eglise Évangélique here in Cambrai.  Pray as they hand out flyers and witness to the people on the street.  Pray for open hearts and minds who are willing to hear and believe the gospel message.  This evening they will hold a worship service at the church.
In the city of Reims there will be a team working with Eglise Évangélique,  with a service to follow at 8:00 PM. Between the two cities 4000 flyers with the gospel message will be pasted out to the people.  Pray for salvation in the city of Cambrai and in Reims.

Notre Père,
Thank you for these who are going into the crowds and telling the good news.  Bless them as they go.  Protect them and let them have the mind of Christ today.  Fill them with the power of the Holy Spirit and give them the words to say.  Thank you for their faithfulness.  I thank you that the race goes to these cities so that we can share the gospel of Christ here today.   Thank you for the presents of the Body of Christ in the local Churches in these cities.  Pour our your grace for today.  I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen

Etape 3, Wanze > Arenberg Porte du Hainaut

Today, we ride the cobble stones. They will be a challenge to each rider. It will be interesting to see who crosses the finish line first. I been thinking about the cobbles, how they can be like our hearts, but God has promised his people that he would give them a soft  new heart and pour a new spirit into them. I pray that He will do the same for the people of Belgium and France.

Ezekiel 36:25-27
I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws

Lord,
I know our hearts can be hard as stone, but Lord please replace them with a new soft heart ready to receive all that you wish to teach us. I pray that you will continue to work in the hearts of the people of Belgium and France. We pray that you will raise up godly men and women who have soft hearts filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.

Lord, We are in great need for french speaking pastors for this area. Lord bring to this area the labors that are need for the harvest which you have prepared.  Send us, Father. We will go for you. Thank you Father for hearing our prayers.
I pray all these things in the name of Jesus. Amen
