Étape 2 Visé > Tournai

Today is our last day in the country of Belgium.  The city of Visé sounds like it is the place to eat goose. Here is a recipe for goose made in Visé.

Today the Tour de la Bible will be :Avec le Centre de Vie Chrétienne Rue du Nord, 89 Tournai and Avec l’Eglise Protestante Baptiste Chaussée de Bruxelles, 192 Tournai RDV ici lundi à 11H et soirée à l’église.  Mel det Christian Center Emmanuel Parochiaal centrum. St Pieters- St. Catharinastraat 8900 Ieper.  I looked to see if I could find websites for any of these churches but I was unable to, but I did find a church directory for evangelical churches in Belgium.  Stop by and send a few emails to let them know that we are praying for them.

Father, thank you for the work you are doing in the nation of Belgium.  We know that you love us and desire for us to know you as Lord and Savior.  Please allow them to understand the way of the cross and receive your Son as their personal Savior.  Strengthen and encourage the pastors here in Belgium.  Thank you for those who will be with the spectators today sharing the gospel.  Give them words to say and more in hearts.  Let salvation come to many on this day.  We pray for all these things in the name of Jesus, our Savior.  Amen

Étape 2 Team Time Trials

Les Essarts > Les Essarts

Today is the day the teams show themselves as one.  They must work together through the whole tour but today they must be as one.  When ever I think about the tour I think about the Church.  We to are a team that must work together to help each other run the race.  It is our support for each other that allows us to stay faithful.

The city of Les Essarts is familiar with speed because they enjoy auto racing in this area of France.

Lord, thank you for Les Essarts.  We thank you for this city and we pray that as they enjoy the team time trials they will take the time to enjoy You.  Lord, I pray that you will open hearts to hear your message of Your love for the people of Les Essarts.  Bring believers to this city so that the Good News can be shared.  We pray for salvation to come to the city of Les Essarts.

Etape 2 Bruxelles > Spa

Here in Brussels I found  a few ministries I would like to share with you.
Their goal is to help people to develop their musical skills to glorify God.  They are training worship leaders for the churches here in Europe.
Creative Arts Europe aspires to permeate European culture with Godly art that offers hope and life.

Founded in the late 60"s God has used them to minister to all nationalities as they come to Brussels.

Chris and Becky Taylor are building a french speaking Church here in Brussels.

Brussels is a city of over a million people and with more in the surrounding areas.  Europe as a whole is very closed to the Gospel.  They see no need for God and many doubt that he is real.  I am happy to see ministries which include the arts, because art has a place in the European culture.  Pray for these ministry as they each share the gospel in way God has gifted them.

Étape 2 going to Spa

201 Km today.  We are leaving Brussels and riding southeast to Spa, appropriately named for the hot water springs.  Spa has been benefiting  from God's creation since the days of the Romans.  Have you seen the crowds along the road.  Remember to pray for them as we pass.  Stage 1 had a few crashes  and I thought about how in life we have a few wipe outs as we move through this world and things do not go as planned.  I pray that we will learn to trust in our Savior when we make those turns in the road.
I am sorry to see Adam Hansen for HTC leave after riding all day after his crash.  Pray that he will heal quickly.
Today we will see King of the mountain pts earned.  The last half the the race will be interesting.  It might not be a good day for the sprinters, but maybe a break away will succeed.

Lord,
We pray for the ride today.  Keep them safe as they go.  Thank you for all the crowds that are coming out to see the race.  Bless them and bring the good news of the cross into each one for their lives.  Lord, I pray that many will receive you.  Thank you for all who have come to Praying for France.  Thank you for their prayers.  We are so glad that you hear each one.

Thank you for all the ministries we found in Brussels, thank you for their faithfulness.  Provide for them and protect them as they serve.  I pray that they will be empowered by the blood of Christ and through the Holy Spirit that flows through each one.  Thank you for this time of prayer.  Lord, allow the the Holy Spirit to fill our prayers, let them glorify you.
I pray all these things in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior.
Amen
